My wife - taken with my new Pentax gear
Posted By: Henrik Kristensen, 05-16-2008, 02:16 PM

Hi all.

Wanted to share a picture taken with my new Pentax equipment.

Just a snapshot of my wife, Taken with K20D (which just arrived today) and the great 43 Ltd.

I know the background isn't good enough for this to be a great portrait, but you probably know the feeling of getting a new camera - must shoot everything in sight

Loving Pentax more and more as each hour passes by

Maybe a better background but I think you did a good job. The photo shows a beautiful women with a great smile. Nice eye contact.

Cheers

I guess the way you grabbed the photo was a snapshot by definition, Henrik, but the result is a good one. The marvellous 43 did your attractive wife justice with a shot that's a definite 'keeper'. Spouses make great models because they are so relaxed and natural. Here's proof positive.

Nice shot. If you are lucky she will still have that smile when you ask to spend a few thousand more dollars on your LBA habit

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. The 43 Ltd. is truly amazing and the purchase of additional lenses will mostly be sponsored by money already spent on Canon gear which I just sold. (the 50-135 is ordered)

Yes, spouses are good models and my two-year old daughter doesn't even notice the camera anymore

For me it was indeed a snapshot but the K20D+43 Ltd. combination just doesn't seem to know how to take bad pictures

Well, I did a color version and a BW version and looked at both a couple of times and agreed that I liked the BW better (so did my wife and all married couples knows whos in charge )
