First time photo post - Birds from the yard
Posted By: ksdar, 05-16-2008, 10:05 PM

I've not posted alot, but I sure do enjoy reading all the posts. Lots of great info here!

We have two bird feeders by our front porch, so when we have a coffee break, we get to watch all of them. And of course it makes for great photo opportunities. The goose family was taken at our city park, but the others were from our yard.

These were taken with an istDS, and a Sigma 50-500mm lens. I haven't had the lens very long, but I am loving it!

I agree with Bruce, Love that squaking bird shot. The others are excellent as well. The goose shot is great with the big one in the rear nudgung the little ones along.

Damn Brit

All are excellent, number 3 must be the town crier, can't make my mind up which is best between 4 (love the bokeh) or 5 (the red is so vibrant). I guess the winner must be number 45.

Nice series of images. Colors are wonderful and the blue jays and cardinal, but the starling is nicely captured.

Thank you so much everybody! I love taking bird and wildlife photos as well as flowers. Here's a few of my flower photos taken with a Pentax 18-55mm Macro:
