Yeah AussieTrev has been asking me to do the same thing, I'll leave the Lens Cap on tomorrow and see what I can produce but may have to keep you in the dark until then..............

did those purple edges appear in the RAW or after you added some vibrancy or saturation....and....if they appeared in the RAW.....they could be part of the flower catching the light....doesnt look like a lens issue to me.....

I only shoot in JPG, haven't tried shooting RAW.
