China's Li River
Posted By: xs400, 05-17-2008, 12:11 PM

Near Guilin, thought by some to be the most scenic part of Chin. I cannot argue with that, it is simply amazing. Two days before we took the criuse down the river, there were heavy rains and flooding. The rains washed mud into the river, giving it a brown color, but the rains also cleared the air.

I never tire of seeing shots of the Li. It's near the top of my "bucket list". Thank you for sharing them. Lovely shots!

These bring back great memories Frank. Its amazing to see the water colour so different, but love those 'clear' skies.

The hills (or are they considered mountains) in China have extrodinary shapes. I don't think there are other geo areas with the same shape.

Thanks for all the comments on my pics. The Li River is indeed an awesome place. It is even more impressive in person. I would be more than happy to go back. The city of Guilin, where we stayed while touring the Li River is also a great city to visit. Of the four cities we visited, Guilin is on I could easily spend much more time in.
