What intrigues me about your photo is that it's from your part of the world. I am from Romania but now living in France. The difference when hiking is very obvious: Romania's mountains and nature are wild - you can still find wolves, bears, remote places and widespread forests whereas in France everything is populated, if not by locals, then by tourists.

I need to do a trip sometime in the Caucasus region or even farther, in Siberia just because it's awesome to be in a place where there are still traces of real wild nature.

Three times I visited popular tourist destinations of the Caucasus, but Siberia is still a dream for me...
Thanks.

Wow, I consider myself a geography buff, but I had to Google Adygea to see where it is.
Very nice countryside, good photo. I really enjoy seeing pictures from seldom photographed parts of the world like this. Thanks!

Your composition is amazing - love the tree and rocks along the edge of the photo. They really add to the drama of the picture.

Thank you.
Trekking on the plateau to the point of the horizon takes three days. But to descend on the area is prohibited without special permission, because it is the territory of the national park.

That's an amazing photo, great work!

For what it's worth, I've been reading a lot lately on Russia's expansion toward the Sea of Azov during the 18th Century under Tsar Peter--I'm thinking the location of the picture would have been in the Crimean Khanate, perhaps in lands controlled by the Nogai Horde?

In those time, these lands were under control of Astrakhan Khanate.
