I now have the DA* 300mm too...
I would say the IQ gives similar results, and paired with the new HD TC 1.4x, it's fabulous
I am neglecting the F* 300mm these time... because the DA* focus is much more quiet and the WR is a plus in the field...

I should do a comparison shot !
