Tea Selection
Lens: sigma 17-70 Camera: K3 ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F4.5

I dont normally play with colour selections, but this one worked out quite nicely.


Time for a cuppa I think!

This is a very good shot! Could I ask you in which way you took it? I mean, is the black all around made with photoshop or just the way you set the cup and the camera before to shot?

Yes, you are right it did turn out well, simplicity....finding the beauty in simple objects....reminds me of the work of a Japanese photographer who shows his work on the Sigma web site...he captures the beauty in simple common objects......

Thanks, I'm a bit of a fan of Dilmah, unless I buy some local Aussie tea!

Thank you, It was just a random shot on my benchtop. I was playing around with the selective colour filters in camera, saw some potential, then emulated in lightroom.

Usually not a fan of selective colour photos, but I like this the green is lovely.

I think the simplicity is the key, the photo still looks natural because the cup is supposed to be white, your only loosing the tint of the liquid itself.

Elegant and simple composition. Like you, I'm normally not into selective color treatments, but this one is outstanding.
