Wow, good shot! Did you use HDR, to get such a nice exposure? Cathedral interiors are difficult, since the windows are bright, but arches are relatively dark.
You really conveyed the sense of size very well, makes the viewer feel humble

thank you.
no hdr, i came there 20min before visitor doors was closed, and i ran through through all locations.
because i usually shot in raw, there is some improvement from lightroom made of course, but not much 2/3ev etc.).
i think because the windows are very near to the top, the light from it helps a little bit.

here is the cropped version:

Fantastic! Did you use a tripod? I went there many years back (in my pre-DSLR days), and I really would have benefited from a tripod...

Looks great; however, I would suggest not cropping but a slight perspective adjustment (or lens correction) to make the lower and upper window frames be horizontal. Probably would take some experimentation w/ perspective, skew, and lens correction to see which works best--anyway those are what I would try in photoshop (likely very slight rotation and then perspective adjustment).

My feeling is often the one area that is not worked on is the perspective adjustment--and that can be simple w/ the right software, and very helpful (IMO) in many/most(?) photo's, and not just traditional architecture. [I would have tried it but the file type does not open in photoshop.]
