Stunning doesn't do it for me on this one. I keep coming back to view it.

The tones are wonderfully mellow...the gradations smooth, the textures have such tactility to them. Composition is spot on, exposure nailed and a beautiful moment frozen.

Frame it, caption it and sell it...I LOVE this shot.

Abosolutely fanatastic image. Tones are wonderful and moody and the perspective is just great.

Where's the picture of the polar bear that was sneaking up behind you?

Beautifully taken shot and for a first post you started off well. I agree that the textures and pastel colours are wonderful here. Thanks for posting the shot and maybe this one should be submitted to the Pentax Gallery.

Congrats for this pic, looks all around excellent, in every aspect I could think of!

You must have gotten that bright but diffused light from the sky, as far as spherical appearance and colors come across on my screen, as well as the shades' details.

Could you please tell us something about how you managed to get this shot?

Also, I do not quite get it how those creatures seem to be laying flat on the water?

They look so different, yet seem so similar to humans in their behaviour, or is it just me and my strange habits :-)
All the best, Georg (the other)

What an amazing shot. I keep coming back to look at this. You really nailed it in every regard. This is defintiely the best photo i have seen taken with the DA55-300mm. After seeing this, i feel happy that i've pre-ordered this lens. Thanks for sharing.
