These are so amazingly detailed....I coulkd see how shooting these alien creatures could become addictive.....are these all hand held? The clarity and precision is remarkable...

I have to laugh, I swear I photographed the exact same fly in the exact same pose today!

Did you have to turn off PTTL to stop him moving?

I shoot Macro in Manual mode with a very basic ( Cheap ) flash , no PTTL ...

Sorry , It was a K50 , 1/180 , F32 , ISO200
But lens was a Tamron 90mm SP Di with a +4 Close focus filter
