Unusual sunset
Posted By: flaviopetrone, 11-03-2014, 06:42 AM

What to say... the clouds were very unusual, I was coming back from a place in which I went to take pictures, I just stopped by and start to take pics, a lot!

I don't like the cables, but was impossible to find a different perspective in few minutes so I decided to take pictures instead of trying to find another place.

Love the rolling clouds effect with the sun shining in the distance. Nice contrast!

Love the formation of the clouds, and that tree of course. Too bad for that power lines though...

Yes, but I really couldn't avoid it!
I was in a residential area and I have found this little place between houses in which you could see the sunset. I thought to move, but in the end was better to take a medium shot for sure rather than a "maybe" great shot if I would have found the right place.

It is a lovely photo as it is and dodging those power lines does not freeze the sun in its position. It always looks like at sunset the sun speeds up, maybe it wants to catch the news.

Yes, unfortunately, a lot of extra parts are now in the photo - these wires, they are not exists, but you are almost invisible. and it does not affect the overall image photo!

That looks much more peaceful than those cloud formations would suggest. Here in TX you typically only see
that sort of structure at the base of a supercell.

Those clouds are called mammatus, (yes, after the female milk secretion apparatus) Nice when you get them at sunset.

It was peaceful, no wind, no storm. It was the first time in my life I saw similar clouds...
