until then, what I do is instead of getting so close like you are doing, back off a couple of inches and take your photo from there. It might not seem like you are getting close but you will have a image that is in better focus. you can then later crop the image a little to get the closeness you want. That is what I do and I use a macro lens, the important thing is to keep shootin' and experimenting, glad you are on the forum and sharing your work with us.
