Tanilba Bay, NSW
Posted By: gmans, 11-03-2014, 03:42 PM

Walk around Tanilba Bay along the boardwalk. The walk is along the foreshore and wanders through Melaleuca, Paperbarks and Eucalypts very pretty spot in bushland and beach setting. There was smoke haze from the west was filtering the afternoon sun some of the colours are tweaked but it is close to the effect on the sunshine in the afternoon.

My wife just brought a few bottles of Shiraz back from the Barossa Valley. (She went to Adelaide to run a Marathon) Stunning, stunning wine! I like the muscats too. But, I love a nice big, bold Cab Sav. I've always liked a wooded chardonnay but that style seems to have gone out of fashion, unfortunately.
Your wife is good to you, never much a fan of Chardonay, some times it is okay, next like the bottom of the cocky cage. Enjoy your wine will let you know when the Hunter Vintage is out if not already.

I'll be watching the shops for the Hunter Valley wines. I've not heard the "bottom of the cocky cage" one before!

Was wondering how that would translate, the cocky cage is a bird cage and cocky is usually a parrot. So you know what's at the bottom of the bird cage.

Oh, that's funny! Now, I'll have to disagree with your assertion as to Chardonnay and bottoms of parrot cages. Very funny. I haven't laughed that hard since grandma caught her .... in the mangler.

Great shots, what great thoughts of enjoying the warmth of summer as I head into a Western New York winter.
