I know, I tried but there was no way to avoid that... that was the only light source (the window, not my head )...

I suppose you could have just poked the camera over the sill - but the shadow does not bother me. My eyes are drawn to the furniture.

Nice framing, with the highlight/subjects. The dim lighting also leads you off nicely through the doorway!
