super moment, and nice compostion all around, the clear, clean green and silver work nice as a background, I love that your macro shots, are so consistently well framed as well as focused on strong moments....nice work...again

That's some amazingly thin DOF. Do you get them consistently in focus as we have seen so far or are there lots of misses too? I'm not a birder but my (uninformed) impression is that there is a lot of hard work (and expensive lenses) behind these gorgeous shots.

Yes, DoF is very accurate. Only what needed and nothing more.

yes there are lots of misses too, but like you mentioned, the (expensive) lens would "help" to reduce the numbers of misses I'd say, but technique and good light is more important...
Hard work ? not very... the hardest thing for me is to get up early in the morning... that is the period I get the best shots!
