Murder Mystery for a rainy Sunday
Posted By: Workingdog, 05-18-2008, 08:28 AM

Authorities are seeking your help in solving the brutal murder of Mr. Peter Cottontail. Mr. Cottontail, aged approximately 40 years was found viscously de-stuffed on the floor of his bedroom in the house he shared with his two faithful German Shepherd Dogs. There was no evidence of a struggle or forced entry indicating that Mr. Cottontail may have known his attacker. The crime scene photos are not suitable for younger viewers.
What kind of “animal” could have done something like this.

The butler did it, in the library, with a knife.

Authorities have just released this photograph of a "person of interest" in connection with the Cottontail slaying.

Upon further examination of the crime scene, several consumed cans of Pork n Beans were found in the kitchen. Quincy, Sam and their team are considering the possibility of an internal explosion. This may be the result of switching abruptly from a diet of lettuce and carrots to Pork n Beans, and wearing extremely tight pants. Officials from Pork n Bean could not be reached for comment. Police said that neighbors would not have heard a thing as Mr. Cottontail’s stuffing would have muffed any sound of the explosion.

Further examination of the victim has revealed saliva on the wounds that doesn't appear to have come from the victim. The 'person of interest' has refused to a DNA test. Paw prints found leading into the room are being examined to obtain a warrant for the DNA tests. Authorities are concerned the POI will depart the jurisdiction. Additional teeth marks are also being compared to the victim and the shoes near the doorway...

The police are confronted with a very "hairy" case. However they have a "tail" on the chief suspect, using the "K9" squad.

Detectives are thinking this killer's bark is not as bad as his bite and are stumped by the lack of clues and how clean the crime scene is. This is going to be one hairy case to get solved. Update: upon closed examination there is no evidence of bite marks on the victim so they are bringing in a police dog to help search for more clues and track the perp.

Update: Seems the detectives feel the crime scene has been staged and they are not sure the police dog can take a bite out of this crime. Please stay tuned for further updates. Until then police recommend you keep all windows and doors locked.

Hum, police have discovered Mr Cottontail is worth a lot of money. They are redirecting their focus expanding it to Mr Cottontails care taker. They also are looking at other people of interest such as the house keeper since the scene was so tidy and cleaned up so well removing most trace evidence
