Another Wren

Just going through all my wren shots I got the other day and I can't believe I didn't post this one - it's my fav.

Superb Fairy Wren / Blue Wren - male.

I don't think you could have got a better background than that to suit the colouring of the bird! A beautiful shot all-round.

thanks, I was cursing the defocused forground branches getting in the way and softening the contrast in some shots, but the defocused background branches produced a nice effect, cheers

thank you, I've never been able to get this close or have them sit still for more than a sec in the past, I think they felt quite safe in their " prickle bush " nothin of any size was getting in there without some serious pain. Beside I was trying to imitate their calls and they would stop and listen and give me a look like "what's this dingbat doing"

Very nice... I don't think we get any wrens at all around here, further south maybe...
