Pedestrian Bridge
Lens: Sigma DG 70-300 Macro Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: New Plymouth, Tarinaki, New Zealand

I'm envisioning snow pack on the walkway, with large flakes falling in still air. I live in Hawaii, so we don't get a lot of that and I miss it sometimes.

Here, we mostly get it on the mountains only. Very occasionally we'll get snow to normal altitudes. Two years ago, for instance, we had snow in our garden - It was quite an experience to see the whole place white, Roads, everything, but it melted by the next day.

...come visit us here in beautiful Minnesota between December and March for a real snow experience! Maybe even get in some ice fishing! (Great photo, by the way)

Awesome Mark. If I lived that close to such a cool subject I'd revisit it often. The structure of the bridge adds a nice element to the composition.

I noticed on Google Earth the forest on the flanks of the mountain ends along a nearly perfect circle around the summit. Clearly the boundaries of Egmont National Park. At the edge of the forests agriculture immediately takes over on most of the land.
