Thanks! It's not much bigger than a Budgie, but it's a female Red-rumped Parrot.

I've seen Budgies in the wild in Kings Canyon in NT, but didn't get photos. There's plenty of Red-rumped Parrots around the ACT. The male has some spectacular colour.

yeah thanks Rob, I can see that now, It has somewhat more colour than the ones I see around here, ours are usually a very drab olive green all over, I have some photos of a pair somewhere ! they do love their grass seeds.

The ACT government seems to have decided not to cut the grass, so there's lots around - some almost as tall as me! I have quite a few photos of Red-rumped Parrots, but I haven't got a really good one of a male yet.

Thanks Jer! Australia's capital is in it's own special territory, similar to the District of Columbia. It's called the Australian Capital Territory; ACT. So, nothing to do with the word "act".

Nope. After 20,000 shutter releases I've seen very little evidence of problematic moire.

That's good to hear. I briefly considered the k5 iis, but cost and reports of that particular issue kept me in K50 land. Though I've no doubt PP could deal with some extra moire handily.
