Like the shot. Try lowering the highlights and you might get some of the sun and sky colors and drama back

The lifeguard shacks are quite futuristic looking around here. Definitely an improvement over the tiny buildings they had before.

I think so. Looks almost insect like when the doors are open. I'll have to get a shot of that some time.

I think what makes the photo special is the bit of sea you can see under the 'pod'.

I don't really know what I like about this shot, to be honest. Whether it is the stance of the lifeguard shack, the blending of the sky color palette, the sunburst, or some mix of all of that. That's just the magic of composition, I guess. Hard to quantify, but you know it when you see it.

I think the colours, the light, the sun all help, but the lightness of the 'pod' makes it extra special.
