I was in Austin this weekend attending my sister's graduation. I finally got to use the DA* lenses. Note light was very poor inside and outside was overcast and getting dark.

Taken with DA* 50-135: My favorite shot, but it's too bad it's slightly out of focus.



The rest with DA* 16-50: I don't find any of these particularly good. I was having a hard time getting good shots. I need alot more practice.

I like 1 and 4. 4 can be improved a lot with PP enhance/brighten colors. Crop some off the right, left and bottom to make it more a portrait.

I agree with the cropping for #4, cutting off 10-20% of the top of the frame will help to focus attention on her, as will bringing in the side a bit. As for the colors I guess I still remember Kodachrome with it's very neutral colors so I think the color balance looks fine. Color intensity is a very personal preference.
