well titled photo....a fascinating capture...completey surreal and strange skyI have never seen anything like that, especially with the blue in the horizon.....very nice capture...

Thank you Phoenix. It was very bizarre. The sun must have been at the very edge of the clouds and at just the right angle to cast that beam across the sky. It was at sundown and I was watching it for a while and once it turned fire orange, I snapped it. Didn't realize the sky would still come out blue. It's one of those captures where you think "Would I change anything if I re-shot that?" and you answer "No". That's what I strive for. Get it perfect in camera before anything else.

You can get a lot of color, especially with the sun glinting off of the ground and the material in the air. I marvel at the colors that the folks in the Midwest get.

Clouds do look like on fire, nice colors, I have also captured similar clouds.
