Nice shot! only way it could be better was if the bottom poppy was also a bit more in focus. At what F-stop was this shot.

Thanks for your comment. The shot is "wide open" because this is a slide projector lens inserted into a bellow (see like image below, but different lens). It's basically just a tube with simple glass elements.

Since there's no aperture the DOF is quite thin and fun/hard to play around with ... I need to go back to this lens and set up a makeshift aperture at the end of the lens to maybe gain some (more) DOF.

Salut, J

And what day would be complete without a projector flower shot from the maestro of the laboratory! I am as intrigued by the depth and diversity of your flower collection as by your lens collection......

I was thinking there was a lens mounted at the end. Very nice shot then.

Thanks for your nice comment!

As for the flower collection, well ... you should thank my wife. It's all her work in our backyard which is quite convenient for me j

Thanks again!

No, not this one yet ... I have mounted others in (dead or dissembled) lenses in order to have an aperture. Stay tuned, maybe more later

Salut

I cannot remember on hand, but I think that this one will go almost to infinity ...

Let me set it back up quickly, and I will let you know. J
