That is one treacherous looking insect. The triple stinger in photo #2 is too much!

Stunning shots. I've got some in hover mode, since they kind of patrol.

They're cool bees, even if they're invasive here in North America (at least the European wool carders are invasive)

nice shots. I also not seen a bee like this. What ring flash did you use? Just watch out for the highlights on the last bee shot

Thanks, I used the Pentax ring flash... (AF 160 FC)
