Aloha! can we see the face? The Kapuvision does work well, and there is a sort of timelessness conveyed by the frozen stare..and the pov into the vast Sea.....curious to see more of this piece though....Kahuna by the way in hawaiian means, keeper of secrets......

Aloha! I'll post a couple others from this set. I didn't get the shot I really wanted, both in profile with some surfers in the distance, because the rain really started in on us, but oh well. C'est la Vie!

Thanks for sharing that.....very interesting woodwork....a very unusual, and fun style of carving...I bet the artist would make for some good prtraits...if he or she...was anywhere to be found.....I am envious of you to be there on the big Island with the pentax....treasures everywhere.....

I am planning a trip out to City of Refuge to see if I can't catch some of the carvers at work! It's supposed to be a great place, I just haven't made it out that way yet.
