Betatakin
Lens: Tamron 18-200 Camera: Pentax K-7 Photo Location: Navajo National Monument Arizona

West end of Betatakin town (last inhabited ca 1275 AD). Near Kayenta, Arizona. Navajo Nation. Site sacred to Hopi who still make pilgrimages here regularly. I love the lines and angles, the subtle tones, the quiet.

It is a magical location but one wonders if aesthetics played any part their choice of the place. Maybe just fear.
