how are you liking the 70-300 apo macro?im assuming its the older version, not the DG right? i was considering it some time ago when I was looking for a cheap macro lens but then went for the raynox DCR-150 to pair with my 55-300.

I really can not say enough about this lens...it is the older version yes, and I bought i used and very well taken care of on ebay.....with minimal expectations....it has impressed me enormously, I am continually amazed by its sharpness...it has a somewhat loud auto focus, but for me...it is the results that count and they have been really impressive....although this is my first venture into macro...I use it regularly on my second camera for wedding photography.....
