Clouds at the Green River Overlook being underpainted by the setting sun.

This is an HDR image consisting of 5 exposures merged in Photomatix Pro. Additional processing in Lightroom and Photoshop.

PENTAX K-3, Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM
ISO 100 28 mm 0.4 sec at ƒ / 11

Excellent taste in your HDR. I often dislike HDR intensely because it is overdone by the user, but the only "overdone" area might be the sun, and it is very effective.

very subtle HDR thats why i like it a lot. great colours too.

If you don't say, I don't think it's HDR, but what the hell, HDR or not, it's superb, the scene is perfectly captured, that matters !

I'm totally agree with you, this picture is really amazing despite the usual "too much" of the HDR pictures!

Nice shot! Must be around Dead Horse Point I'm guessing. I was down there on the White Rim trail (which I can faintly make out in this photo) a few weeks ago. Love that area!

Yep, if you continue on the road past the turnoff to Dead Horse Point, you'll enter Canyonlands NP. This spot is to the southwest of Dead Horse Point.

I also have some shots of Dead Horse Point from last Friday morning, but there weren't really any clouds at sunrise to add to the skies.

Lots of images still to process from my week in Moab.
