Eccentricity or...........
Camera: K 5 Photo Location: Chloride, AZ

I'm not sure what it is about the desert and the eccentric artwork that is found in many areas, but I sure like to see and photograph it. Some of you may remember Hulaville traveling the I 15/Hwy 66 through Victorville, CA headed to Las Vegas. I remember homes with bottles stuck on trees or hubcaps lining property lines when I grew up in the Mojave Desert in the 1950's. Maybe it is the high summer temperatures or just wanting to be unique but it takes a special kind of person to make these. I truly believe this is art, of course Picasso is one of my favorites so you be the judge.

Brings back a lot of memories...I had never thought about it, but I can recall many a pass by desert art of this nature....it does seem somehow to be connected with desert life.....recycled art....I suppose the weather supports it...doesn't work against it, too much in any case.....Are most of these pieces from one location...or all different?

I think you just have to find something to do.

yes same location and I think the heat has something to do with it, sort of fries the brain.
