Bonjour,

Here's another projector lens that I removed form the majority from its plastic casing ...

Later I incorporated this lens into a Helios 44-2 body in order to have an aperture.

Merci eaglem ... the lack of an aperture makes shooting these projector lenses quite interesting at times.

I will later post an image from the same lens but stopped down via a Franken-lens mutation ... J

Interesting work with these lenses. Would the Pentacon 2.8/80 be the same lens formula as the Zeiss Biometar 2.8/80 ? I know some Zeiss lenses became Pentacon depending on where they were manufactured but I am not sure how comparable they are. I wish I had the time to mess about with stuff like that!

Thanks for your comments and I do not know about the Zeiss Biometar lens ... Could be like the "aus Jena" lenses and the CZ(J) lenses re-branding. You have raise an interesting point/question that I really had not thought about. J

I loved it but I wish it had *just* a tad more depth of field. As it is, there's like one stem in focus... but great mood, as everybody else said.

Merci, Christain ... that's the one downside of the aperture-less lenses.

It's all "wide open" which is good, but sometimes a bit more DOF would be helpful overall. J

I'm very intrigued by your work. How much time do you spend weekly just to "create" the lenses and make experiments with them?

Thanks for your comment.

It's usually on the weekends (nights) after the kids are in bed and things are quite. How much time ... well, it depends and I generally do not keep track. Maybe an hour per lens or so ... it varies a lot.

I just tinker and experiment. Plus, you will note that I do not show off my (few) failed experiments ... ha! J
