Wow i love horse pictures, they are like paintings, everything is great, horse, background, colors. great.

great use of aperture, brings the image to the forefront and 3D'ish.

surprisingly, with this portrait I closed down the aperture to 11..that gave it the exceptional clarity in the foreground....it was more of an accident than anything... I normally wouldn't do that with a portrait....but since it was with the 43mm, and fairly wide, I moved in close, which gave the nice dof...fortuitous accident....

sorry I thought it was shot at f/3.5, no matter the 43mm is my favorite lens and more than worth the price.
