I just hope these aren't protected ruins she is sitting on; in no way does a good photograph justify touching fragile ancient ruins (because if even half of everyone did it, there wouldn't be anything left).
Far from it..good thought though....these are at the base of the ruins of a Byzantine era castle, whose ruins, work their way up into the mountain it was once well integrated into...One of many, many great hikes, to be found in a country where ruins are built upon ruins of civilization...the castle is about fve hundred years old what is left of it...it is a pretty strong hike up to the top, not too many find their way up there....although it is well worth it and spectacular...this shot is in the ruins of an old peasant hut near the base, it is about 100-150 years old maybe.....there are many, many similiar stone small buildings, scattered throughout the island...they are beautiful, but not ancient....the only protected ruins, which are ancient on the island, date back between 1, 500 and 2,200 years....
