Stay to our dogs means, "stay in the house, we're going out" they look confused when we say it outdoors

The little one is still trying to figure out what I'm doing, the other two know that from time to time we stop for no reason, fiddle with little black objects they're not allowed to chew on, and then for no apparent reason start walking again, and just try not to fall asleep

To a dog, a tennis ball is worth a million cameras.

We walk these woods so often, it's like their territory... last night, I only saw them a couple of times. The rest of the time they were within calling distance, but really not very close to me. I could always see one of the three was on the trail ahead of me, by the footprints in the snow. Most of the "walk" I was by myself. If the local wolf pack was near, they would have been a lot closer. They always arrive back at the house the same time I do, often waiting at the top of the hill behind the house. So this was rare, even that I could see them all at the same time. But for most of the walk, I can't make my way through the bramble and dead fall they do.

It isn't easy to work with multiple models but you did perfectly well...!

What I like about this picture is that they are looking towards something outside of the frame. So with my imagination I can add an extra dimension to it.
