I hope no one here has a Ricoh GR phobia! This is a street candid from today which I'm happy with.

Thanks. More or less "from the hip". I set the snap focus at 1.5m and the shutter speed at 640, and the ISO high at 800. This combination on the GR has given me good results.

I thought it was a candid shot of Bill Cosby for a minute. Well taken.

Thanks! I like the GR very much for street photography. I have found it to be only a mediocre landscape lens for being so wide, but a very good close up portrait lens as it really is best at 2.8. The macro mode is so so. But for capturing fast paced action in close range, it's the best tool I've used. The "snap focus" really simplifies things, and once you get a feel for the distance (I set my focus at 1.5m), you can rely on the 1/640 to compensate both for your movement and for the subject's movement.

Funny you should mention Bill. A week ago tomorrow, I found myself at a Veterans Day commemoration outdoors in center city Philadelphia, and Cosby was the keynote speaker. I got pretty close to the platform (attendance was low), but I had left both my 28-200 and my 135 at home! In fact, the longest focal length I had was a mere 28mm prime (M) on the k-50 and the GR (this was going to be a street shooting day, and I ran into the commemoration by accident).

The photo of Cosby speaking is a crop, clearly, since I was shooting with the M 28; but I think the aperture was set at f/8, which is the sharpest setting for my copy of this lens. Therefore the crop is pretty good.
