Pretty sharp for only four elements.

Pretty small for the reach of the lens too. You can really sneak up on your subject.

IQ looks good, but I wonder why you set EV to -0.7? These images are underexposed on my monitor.

I have the same lens, but haven't used it enough to know what it can do.

I usually bump the EV down a notch or two on the K-50 which, to my eyes at least, tends to overexpose slightly.

Thanks! I usually shoot street with a wide angle prime lens, but I'm excited to see what the possibilities are with this lens.

I'm having a hard time picking my favorite! Perhaps #2? No..... wait! #3! A very nice series. #2 gives a lot to think about.

Thanks, Dewman! #2 is more or less a typical Sunday scene in Philly. Football and church clothes.

The bokeh in #2 is absolutely perfect. Not too blurry so as to be distracting. Spot on.

It could be that your monitor brightness is showing the images to be brighter than they are. These are definitely under exposed on my laptop, and that's not a common thing. I'm not trying to be critical, it's just that monitors can mislead like this. I would be a problem if you find out later that all your photos could use some brightening.

That's certainly a possibility, since I've never thought about it! I will take this into serious consideration. Thank you very much for pointing it out (like a friend who has breadcrumbs in his beard).

Great set--the second one, especially, is money.

My favorite 135mm lens.
I find it a bit too long for street shots on APSC, but you seem to be doing very well with it.

Yesterday was my first day with it on the streets, and I was mainly interested in capturing some architectural details (like the 3rd one). Then I thought I would find some place to check the bokeh with an isolated subject, and I do like the look of it -- if you can also capture some of the street detail in the frame. Otherwise, it comes across as mere voyeurism and not "street" which, I think, seeks to communicate a sense of shared space.

Here's another one I'm happy with from yesterday. I like the blur of the columns and the focus really isolates the guy looking for help from shoppers.
