What are you doing here?

This wombat was very surprised to find a person around when he crawled out of his burrow at 6.30pm. He tried sitting down and waiting for me to go away, but I just kept taking photos, so he disappeared into the shoulder-high grass to find his evening meal.

Thanks! I'd seen lots of burrows along the river that were obviously in use, but this was the first time I'd actually seen a wombat. This one was especially fat and happy, what with the grass being shoulder high!
