Something a little different from the A 135 f/2.8.

You nailed that one...even on my laptop the Phillips-head screws on the lamppost are clear as a bell. (FWIW, I'm finding a 1/60th second shutter speed just about my bottom limit for "acceptable sharpness" handheld with my new 135...curious as to what your EXIF data was.)

Thanks! It was handheld, and the shutter speed was 1/800, which was do-able because I had the lens stopped down to the maximum aperture (2.8). I tend to err on the fast side of shutter speed because it really bothers me when everything about a shot is perfect except for a slight unwanted blurriness. Next time I am out with the 135 I will test how "low I can go" on SS.

Excellent, thanks for elaborating...and that's no doubt a good strategy--for some reason, I have a hard time remembering to bump ISO and end up with a lot of blurs that don't have a lot of noise.

I really like TAV mode. I just dial the setting I want and keep an eye on the ISO. Noise is visible on the K-50 at 1600, which is about as high as I like to go on that body; but most of the lenses I use (M 28 2.8, A 50 1.4 are most common) are fast enough not to worry about ISO. TAv is also what I use on my GR.
