Definitely! A tripod can make some miracles!
Nice shot, go on with your attempts.

Thank you. That was over an year ago, since then I've been carrying the tripod with me all the time. Sometimes I forget to take my camera, though.

My tripod is in my car always, the camera sometimes remain at home...
Next tripod I'll buy must be one piece with the camera!

I've done worse than that. I remember once I really took everything with me for a photo session... chose the place using Google Earth, estimating the best weather using 2-3 websites, chose the best moment of the day, and then I went there taking literally everything with me: camera, 2 batteries, tripod, 6-7 lenses, flash, umbrella, umbrella support, filters... well, almost everything. The memory card was safe at home in the card reader. I did not have a spare one. The sunset was great, though.

What a optimistic person you are! I think that I would have gone back to home.

Haha, ouch!
But great photo posted here, even though its kit lens. The Pentax kit lens is better than many other kit lenses used to be, it is quite useable, especially with the right focal length and aperture (and in capable hands)
