Maybe if we run away a bit further it will confuse them? Nice use of DOF.

Nice picture!
This is the kind of situations in which even a picture taken from above gives nice results.

Well I did my best to get down to there level but the retreat was constant and it was a bit wet and mucky.

No there was only a few ibis and heron around, the soldier crabs dig in very quickly and mass up safety in numbers, they just kept running away from me, not that quickly. But if I wanted to catch them would not have been to hard. Cheers
