photo taken in the ghost town of Rhyolite Nevada on our travels. The gold ran out and the town died.

I don't think I ever made it there. Google says that building was hit by lightning and burned down in Sept 2014 :-(
so sad, I checked it out also Kyle, you're right. Glad I got photos when I did.

It's amazing that theses places are still standing, by the look of this one perhaps for not much longer.

I hope these places are well documented... "photography wise" before they do disappear forever.

so much of our Western towns were built from lumber and many burned down before they finally started using brick and stone. Thanks for viewing and the comments. This building was hit by lightning and destroyed.

Another great shot bob. Seems you're having quite the fun with Corel. Fun thing to report, someone over at the talkbass forums took some pictures and his work reminded me quite a bit of your own. Seems you both have similar tastes and eyes for those desert scenes. Here's a link, it's the first post on the page: The Official TB Photography thread - f/4.0 | Page 25 | TalkBass.com . If you're feeling adventurous sometime, (not sure if PSP has this, Photo Paint does in Corel Graphics Suite...) try out the plastic filter under "textures", it's fun to play around with. There's also a texture filter called canvas or linen that is fun to play with as well.

I can see what you mean on TB Photography, we've walked the same paths it appears, thanks for the link. I don't have the Graphics Suite, I'll take a look through PSP to see if there is something similar. I get sort of bored at times and just playing with the different effects can completely change an image with just a few clicks. Thanks so much for taking the time to post this, we are in Colorado now so the scenery has changed from my desert.
