Messerschmitts at one o'clock!

actually closer to 11.30 according to the EXIF data,

At the Riverstone Festival, last weekend.

K20D and Tamron 18~250.

With the price of gas these days, I bet they're cheaper than the Smart or Mini. Would they pass the pollution laws in California (the standard).

Neat little cars. They look like crippled go-karts.

Great title on the thread and some interesting pictures. I remember seeing a few of those here in the states, probably in the mid to late fifties. I think that they were originally made from aircraft wing or drop tanks. Going in one of those on a US highway was one of the more terrifying things that one could do. Cars like that and anything with an engine under a certain size like the tiny Fiats from that time period were ultimately banned here. Probably why we have gas problems now....

these were manufactured by the same factory that made the famous fighters, after the War, Germany was not allowed to re arm, so the same designer produced these cars. That's why I couldn't resist the play on words

Beautifull downtown Riverstone, is my village, about 10ks short of Windsor, still lots of open spaces, paddocks, lovely!

Hey ... I remember seeing a couple of these on Windsor Rd a little while ago.
Riverstone is on my way to work ... sort of ... I drive through there all of the time.

I am out at East Kurrajong myself ... so pretty much in the area really.
