Looks cold and nasty.

Stark beauty. It looks so vast, about 12km wide - must have been shot at 18mm. Either those are people out on the the ice, or channel markers. With the regular spacing, I'm going to go with the channel markers.

It does look to be very cold there.

Yes, about 12 km wide.Oh, it's good that you mentioned about focal length! I was mistaken: digging archives of originals showed that this picture done with seven vertical shots of 50-200 lens!

Figures afar are people. It was cold, I arrived at the quay, photographed 10 minutes and sat back in the warm car

Even more impressive at an actual 12 km wide and a panorama shot, with people out on the ice. Love it even more.
