Nearby Margarette Falls is a popular hiking destination in the spring, when Dry Creek is high and wildflowers abundant. But it's also a great place to explore when the creek is down to a lovely trickle, reflecting the autumn foliage.
Not sure why it's called "Dry Creek," have never seen it even close to dry. Here's the creek full of fallen red maple and tulip poplar leaves.
And here are some views of one the many tiny waterfalls/riffles along the creek.
Another "mini-waterfall," yellow with the light of Sugar Maple foliage.
The main falls were not much more than a trickle, but sure had a fine frame of fallen leaves.
Thanks for coming along on another easy East Tennessee hike, and thanks for any comments & critique!
