Here are a few images from autumn along the home park's lake and nearby shores. Nothing rare or unique, just some pleasant scenes from East Tennessee...




Maple-Leaf Viburnum thrives where lake mists keep the rich woodlands lush and damp.




Red Eared Sliders prefer a bit of sunshine now and then...




Park shorelines are ideal habitats for our year-round resident Black Vultures and Great Blue Herons.






And the tangled shoreline vegetation also attracts one of my favorite winter residents - the tiny, big-voiced Winter Wrens.
