Safety beach, first shots Da*16-50
Lens: Da* 16-50 Camera: K3 Photo Location: safety beach ISO: 100

Just picked up my sales lens. Thought I would post some shots which I took yesterday at one of the local beaches.

The colours and rendering are a darn sight better than my ol sigma 17-70. You also have to love the CA correction in lightroom with this lens!

Mine too, now that I've converted it!

I like your work, Rob. Number 1 could possibly benefit from a bit of PP work to increase contrast, and bring out the forms more, though.

Liking the first image, was there much PP tweaking?

Interesting. I followed the link to your Flickr posting, and there seems to be more contrast there. Maybe something is changed in the linking process, or maybe I just need to wind up my screen brightness a little more.

More contrast, LOL!
It was quite washed out conditions and I was starting to worry I had pushed the PP to far! I was trying to retain the serene look a bit so I didn't up the clarity to prevent the wavelets distracting from the image.

I really shouldn't make a judgment based on looking at my iPad screen in a bright room. I can see now that I've increased the brightness that you have worked on the contrast. I find that Topaz Clarity works wonders on a lot of photos shot under similar dull conditions, btw.

Hi

Re 1st image, I have to spring to Rob's defense, it is a wee bit flat and it has a distinct green cast. I have corrected it on my screen it looks a million dollars and the "serene look" hasn't suffered. Really nice.
