I like your picture. Good transitions from light to shadow. Black background is natural (maybe a cave?), Or is the result of processing, the editor?

Thanks! The boulder was actually sitting in a stream. The surrounding trees provided a lot of shade while allowing just a bit of sunlight to hit the rock; I lucked on it at the right time of day. Playing around with the exposure and some careful processing got the background black.
