Old Dodge Truck
Posted By: Buckeyemikie, 12-08-2014, 07:17 PM

Stopped at a trading post in Bluff, UT, on the way to Monument Valley and found several rusty old cars & trucks to photograph.

Honestly, I've had it for less than a week. I haven't used it enough to be able to compare it to my other cameras (K5, K7, etc.). So far I like it though.
I have one "under the tree". Took advantage of the cyber Mon. deal. What a steal @$796 W/ batt. grip vs. competition!

I can see your Jag reference in the front end. Never looked at it that way before.

Yeah, I jumped on the same deal. Under the tree? How can you have brand new camera equipment, and not be tempted to use it at least once?

Nice pics of the Buick. It'd be fun to update the important running gear but leave the body alone.

Great minds think alike. I said the same thing about the truck.

Seems like there's a guy who specializes in rebuilding classics while keeping the patina of the original bodywork. I've tried Googling but I can't find it. The last one I saw was a early '50s Desoto station wagon. I think the Buick would be perfect for that kind of update.

RE "my K-3 under the tree", I might sneak it out of the box when my wife isn't around! After all, I should make sure it works, right?

Are you thinking of the Grease Monkey Garage?
