My 3 latest shots approved in the Pentax gallery!
Posted By: mikerigel, 05-22-2008, 11:53 PM

I submitted them about 2 weeks ago and the verdict finally came!

All taken with K10 and DA*50-135mm.

The first one is taken in the country side of France, fields of colza.
Slight crop from the original, but it's all the natural colors!

1/750s f/8.0 at 135.0mm iso200

This one is from a music festival.

1/125s f/4.0 at 135.0mm iso200

And I already posted the last one a couple weeks ago..

1/350s f/3.5 at 135.0mm iso200

Very nice! They're all great, but the first one is right down my alley. I love graphic compositions like that.

You can submit pictures that weren't taken with Pentax lenses as long as the camera you used was a Pentax. You just have to mark "Other" where it asks for the lens info.

I particularly love the third one. Those hands are so expressive - you've brought out the strength within the delicacy. Very sensitive capture of the patterns of light and dark tones on the fingers where some of the clay has dried and some is still wet. There's a feeling of care, love and skill in the image.

As already mentionned, you can submit your pics taken with other lenses.

Thank you! I was driving by that field and I knew I had to do something with it!
I wasn't sure I would succeed to reflect the beauty of it though.

Outstanding! The colour in the first shot is just breathtaking! Great composition with lines as well. You have got good eyes for photography.

The musician's skin texture was so well rendered.

I remember voting for those. I thought they were great then, and they still bring out the same feelings now. Awesome!

Is definitely #1 !!!!

Beautiful contrasts in the colors, and the horizon's level - great patterns - what else does one ask for??

Cheers,
Marc

I votes positive on all three shots...very diverse, I'd have never guessed at the time that they came from the same photographer!

Props!
