Definitely perfect lighting Bob - and right after the rain too! I had a knee replacement a week ago and am enjoying seeing through everyone's eyes from my chair. Keep em coming!

Bob, Did you hear that the Grand Canyon is filled with fog from the river to the south rim? Might be a photo op if you are still in the neighborhood.

A bleak and barren landcape Bob and that translate well trough this photo. If you don't mind I do have (constructive) critique. I would have excluded the sky a bit from the processing you used for the whole photo. Thy sky is somewhat blotchy and noisy because it has been processed to much in my humble opinion. I know this is not the critique section but I am justing trying to help.

That would of been great to view Dick, we're in Nevada now. One day I would like to get photos of the Canyon after a snowstorm, but I'd have to buy a coat and not sure if I want to go to that much of an extreme.

I appreciate constructive criticism Remco and agree with your suggestion. I only have a small laptop to view photos and it is easy to miss such things as noise. I would of run it through a filter program if I'd seen that, but on this small screen nothing turns up. Maybe I'll get a bigger laptop for Christmas, I've hinted several times to my wife Terri. Thanks for viewing and the comment. If I'd had my ND 10 filter with me this might have been and interesting place to try it out.

Hope your recovery is complete Joi and you can get back to horse riding soon and take more photos to share. I read yesterday where the Painted Desert/Petrified Forest area got 14 inches of rain in one day. I would imagine the area is impassable now, lots of low lying areas and small amounts of rain causes problems with travel. Get Well!

Jerry, the only main change to p/p would be that I tone mapped this photo to bring out the colors, maybe too much as I am just starting to play with the process. thanks for viewing.
