Thanks for that, Sterling. It seems as if I'm not the only one who has an affinity for old barns. The aura of them.... the smell of hay, dried horse manure, dirt and old leather is unlike anything else on earth. All my life, I've loved old barns, having grown up in farm country in northern California. I still seek them out and just yesterday, when I took the picture in this thread, I spied another magnificent old specimen, but it was getting dark and that wonderful late afternoon light had long since faded. But, I did stop and talk to the property owner and got permission to go back this evening and venture onto the property and shoot to my heart's content! It's only about 6-7 miles from my house.
